The SAP/Mii Maintenance Planner/Scheduler plans and executes the plant maintenance activities to effectively balance operating reliability against maintenance costs while meeting plant goals for safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction. The Maintenance Planner provides the daily planning, scheduling, parts procuring, manpower assignments and record keeping for all maintenance activities while maintaining records on work orders, work order costs, and preventive maintenance programs to assist the Maintenance Department and provide maintenance information, graphs and charts as directed.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Manage the maintenance work order process including: work request approval, prioritization, personnel time effectiveness, cost effectiveness, recording labor charges, preventive maintenance, and work order completion.

2. Provide assistance to the Maintenance Manager in monitoring equipment spare parts and ensure data is accurate and complete. Assist in providing reports for work history, costs, etc.

3. Prepare work outline and schedules for both daily and shut down work activities. Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and shutdown maintenance schedules.

4. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs within SAP to achieve reliability and cost targets.

5. Provide reports to the Maintenance Manager for work order backlog, work history for equipment, and preventive maintenance work status.

6. Coordinate unit maintenance activities with operations by participating in planning meetings to ensure open communication while supporting plant production goals.

7. Assist with purchasing duties by bidding work and providing proper documentation on scope of work and bid waivers.

8. Assist with preparing annual maintenance budget. Monitor spending to meet plant budget goals.

9. Assist in monitoring maintenance performance measurements such as: Percent Emergency and Schedule Break Work, Percent Scheduled Work Completion, Percent Completed and Compliance for Preventive Maintenance, etc. by updating and maintaining the information within SAP.

10. Manage equipment spare parts inventory to ensure quality, quantity, and adequacy are being met while meeting plant cost effectiveness goals. Write requests for changes or updates that need to be done.

11. Develop lists of parts required for work assignments and confirm as to their availability.

12. Manage and update Mii/SAP data to ensure proper spare parts are listed and history is being kept on equipment. Use and maintain Mii/SAP data base and continuously make changes as it pertains to planning, scheduling, and analyzing maintenance activities.

13. Prioritize and issue work orders for all maintenance work, keeping maintenance backlog at an appropriate level. Enter requests for parts and labor on planned and emergency work in SAP.

14. Originate all necessary permits and SAPs for maintenance audits

15. Lead quality performance, emphasizing involvement of suppliers, of maintenance supplies, and services in meetings to ensure open communication while supporting plant production goals.

16. Ensure all safety guidelines are outlined for planned maintenance work and preventive maintenance work. Develop and maintain in depth knowledge of appropriate company and regulatory rules, procedures, and policies, assure proper execution of all safety related permits required for maintenance activities.

17. Other duties as assigned.

Education:
High school diploma combined with equivalent related experience
3-5 years maintenance experience with a Technical or Management Degree or 5-8 years maintenance (SAP/Mii) experience in food processing environment.
