Riviana's St. Louis Facility is looking for a:
PRESS OPERATOR/PASTA PRODUCTION
$20.45/hour
 1st shift available
Medical/Dental/401K



SUMMARY:

Desire and ability to communicate and work effectively as a team member in processing

product. Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Requires proficiency in

basic mathematics. An essential part of this job is that you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Press operation to produce various pastas
  • Mixer operation
  • Pasta die changes and availability for reuse
  • Knife cutting adjustments
  • Operational control adjustments
  • Drier operation: control drier thru-put to produce pasta with quality appearance and moisture range for best packaging and customer acceptance.
  • Related equipment and instrumentation operation.
  • Minor mechanical adjustments.
  • Product quality assurance monitoring and reporting as necessary:
    • Moisture tests
    • Sizing
    • Appearance
    • Color
    • Acceptability
  • Fill, monitor and report usage of press, egg and storage tanks raw materials usage as needed.Control percentage of rework used in various pasta production.
  • Cleaning and sanitation of mixers, presses and press production area.
  • Develop ability to reorganize, evaluate and effectively control variability in raw materials/press/drier operations.
  • Reporting daily operation including downtime and interpretation of reasons for, shift-to-shift pass-on of operational information to assist oncoming line leader, quality variances and interpretations of reason for.
  • Ability to properly operate regrinding equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish between items to be reground, items that are acceptable for re-packing or items that should be disposed of.
  • Properly gather items to be reground from all departments in plant.
  • Insure regrinding items to be reground.
  • Operate egg room in a sanitary, effective and as efficient manner so as to keep production lines supplies with appropriate materials required from egg room.
  • Other responsibilities as departmental operations may require or other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
