Description
Ready To Serve (RTS) Operator -  ($24.52 - $25.02, FT) (a minimum of 2 years' experience, ideally in a high speed manufacturing operation)

The RTS Operator (2 years' experience in high speed manufacturing) works in a clean and wet work environment, with the temperatures typically in the 60-68 degree range.
RTS operators are responsible for the production of individual serving size containers of rice product. This includes setting up industrial equipment, mixing recipes, packaging product, breakdown/cleaning/sanitation of industrial equipment, maintaining all proper documentation, troubleshooting and departmental cleaning.
  • RTS Operators must have at least 2 years’ hands-on experience working on a manufacturing floor in a high speed operation
  • Work 12 hour shifts, flexible to work day or night, spending most of the time standing (starting shifts likely will be 4 pm — 4 am (alternating shifts — Week 1 (4 days), Week 2 (3 days)
  • Work OT as required
  • Learn quickly, proactive in efforts to maximize production & prevent downtime
  • Work well with others in a team environment with frequent, effective, and quick communication
  • Technical skills to perform in area of specialty
  • Understands and able to perform and troubleshoot all activity and equipment in area of responsibilities
  • Understands Lean manufacturing principles and practices
  • Able to rapidly adjust to changing priorities as necessary

Education:

  • Requires a high school graduate or equivalent and able to follow oral and written instructions
