About the Role

The Parboil Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring all equipment associated with the parboiling process. This role ensures equipment runs safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality, sanitation, and production standards.

What You’ll Do

• Operate parboiling equipment and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance
• Report operating conditions and issues to the Production Supervisor
• Perform minor equipment maintenance and assist with parboil sanitation as required
• Record production and process data on appropriate forms
• Maintain proper product levels to equipment
• Complete master sanitation schedules as assigned
• Set up equipment to achieve required product quality at maximum production rates
• Routinely review and troubleshoot equipment and notify the Processing Shift Supervisor of malfunctions or potential issues
• Adjust process conditions as needed to maintain product quality
• Monitor product quality by:
  • Understanding product specifications
  • Reviewing Quality Control data regularly
  • Reviewing product samples and reporting concerns to the Production Supervisor
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by following 5S standards
• Understand and comply with all safety, food safety, and employment policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to perform physical job duties including bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting, prolonged standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to distinguish different colors
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
• Ability to work in environments that may include heat, cold, dust, and noise while wearing required personal protective equipment
• Ability to work in elevated areas

Working Conditions

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels
• Required use of personal protective equipment
• Rotating night shift schedule (4 on / 4 off)
