Accounts Payable Supervisor - Harrisburg, PA

This is a working leadership position involving the management of Accounts Payable for our business providing daily guidance and oversight for the AP team and the associated functions and processes involved. This includes but is not limited to hiring and developing a highly cohesive and strong team of accounts payable professionals in addition to creating and implementing business processes. This position reports to the AP Manager.

Role Specifics:

  • Conduct frequent reviews and audits of accounts payable processes and procedures, working towards improving quality and efficiency
  • Identify and develop process improvements that will increase accuracy and speed with which invoices are processed and paid
  • Complete matching process of invoices to purchase/receiving documents – using a 3- way match system
  • Act as liaison between Accounts Payable department and information technology support team in dealing with daily issues and work with AP Manager on integration projects, enhancement of business processes and special projects
  • Process high volumes of invoices ensuring accurate account distribution and obtain appropriate approvals
  • Manage high volumes of payable transactions with a high level of proficiency and integrity
  • Weekly for daily check disbursements, ACH payment transactions in addition to proper recording of submitted weekly wires
  • Interact with vendors and various levels of management to provide response/resolution in a timely and thorough manner
  • Handle account reconciliations and research
  • Educate and train with system implementations relating to accounts payable
  • Complete performance reviews for Accounts Payable staff
  • Maintain and ensure the highest level of compliance of corporate guidelines and policies

Education – Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Work Experience - a minimum of 2 years previous Accounts Payable supervisory experience preferred. SAP experience preferred
