Packer\Packaging Operator  - Fresno, CA

Packaging Operators are key personnel to our daily operations, supporting our pasta operations by ensuring our excellent products are packaged and ready for our consumers.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Make all packaging equipment changes and adjustments in a safe and timely manner to comply with the daily production schedule as assigned by supervision.
  • Transfer product from storage systems to packaging machines.  This includes selecting the tanks or accumulator to be transferred to the correct packaging lines.
  • Assist maintenance personnel in minor adjustments and poly supplies to baggers.
  • Ensure that a smooth flow of packaged product is maintained to the stacking area via the conveyor system including the TKF elevators.
  • Inspect product and packaging for acceptable quality standards.  Report all deviations from any acceptable standard to the Supervisor in charge.
  • Must have good troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Operate in a safe and productive manner.
  • Communicate all pertinent equipment/product problems that may occur during shift operations to Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Perform all of your duties in a manner as to comply with GMP’s.
  • Communicate all pertinent equipment/product problems that may occur during shift operations to the Coordinator/Manager.
  • Clean areas throughout the plant and complete cleaning checklist.
  • Must have regular and punctual attendance.
  • Able to respond to alarms and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Work well with teammates and communicate with all employees with respect and courtesy.
Other Job Requirements:
  • Must pay attention to details, be alert and conscientious towards both work requirements and your teammates
  • Bend, twist, etc., in order to efficiently operate system.
  • Lift loads of 60 pounds, and move and stack various sized objects.
  • Climb stairs/ladders and work in the air up to 30 feet.
  • Twist/bend, etc. to enter/exit tight/cramped areas for cleaning and clearing jams.
  • Work in dust filled area with proper equipment.
  • Able to perform keyboard functions on a computer (Not data entry, using press pad, touches screen and mouse).
  • Must have good eyesight and hearing or correctable to meet safety requirements.
  • Must have the ability to read and write English.

Education

  • High School diploma or GED.

Shift

  • Available PM Shifts (4pm-1230am)
  • Weekend and overtime hours available


Prior Work Experience

  • Two years previous manufacturing experience.
