Warehouse Manager

This position is responsible for managing and leading the outbound (shipping) portion of our warehouse operations business.  Overall responsibilities include managing a large workforce of approximately 70 associates with a warehouse operational footprint of ~400,000 SF and 17 dock doors.

Key Attributes for Success:
  • Must be willing to engage with associates every day and across all shifts.  This includes team meetings, information sharing/gathering, walking the floor hourly, training and development
  • Must be hands-on - this is a heavily intense people engagement/management role, not sitting at a desk/computer for the majority of your time
  • Must know manufacturing warehouse operations - this facility manufactures and packages hundreds of thousands of pounds of rice and pasta daily, all requiring fluid and efficient warehouse operations to track, move and ship product
  • Must be extremely proficient and knowledgeable about warehouse management systems, preferably SAP
  • Must be trained and able to train others on sit-down and stand-up forklifts
  • Must know yard mule/hostler operations and able to manage this effectively
  • Must be comfortable with change management - introducing and leading changes in both operations and systems for warehouse personnel
Educational Requirements:
  • BS in business, supply chain, management or equivalent bachelor degree
Experience Needed:
  • A minimum of 7 years managing manufacturing warehouse experience, specifically around force feeding pallets from manufacturing to outbound shipping
  • A minimum of 5 years experience managing a large workforce of at least 50 employees
