Description
Processing Operator - $23.13 - $23.63, FT (a minimum of 2 years' experience, ideally in a high speed manufacturing operation)
Processing Operators are responsible for receiving rough rice into the Processing department for cleaning, cooking, drying and distribution to multiple departments.
The Processing department is an extremely hot, dusty and loud environment and employees working in this department are required to operate large industrial manufacturing rice cookers, drying tunnels and bucket conveyor equipment.

Must have at least 2 years’ hands-on experience working on a manufacturing floor in a high speed operation

Work 12 hour shifts, flexible to work day or night, spending most of the time standing (starting shifts likely will be 4 pm — 4 am (alternating shifts — Week 1 (4 days), Week 2 (3 days)

Troubleshooting and operating manufacturing equipment to identify root causes of problems

Paying close attention to detail and alerts supervision if numbers fall outside expected quality ranges

Taking an active role in the department, to include provide/receive training, critical problem solving, and striving to be a top performer with optimal production numbers

Arriving for work on time for the start of the shifts

Following safety rules and operational procedures

- Troubleshoots equipment and product quality issues
- Conveys shift information and knowledge regarding daily production, process and/or equipment performance to maintenance, Q.C. and operator co-workers and supervisors

- Assures availability of required materials and supplies
- Monitors equipment settings and makes required adjustments to product specifications
- Continually monitors all KPI’s
- Perform routine quality checks and adjusts to meet set specifications
- Creates clear, accurate and timely documentation

- Keeps work areas organized and sanitary according to set standards
- Follows standard operating processes and procedures
- Adheres to GMP’s, HACCP, OSHA and company policies and procedures
- Responsible for own personal safety and safety of others in working area
Education:
- Requires a high school graduate or equivalent and able to follow oral and written instructions
