Production Manufacturing Accounting Clerk
The Accounting Clerk provides essential support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the administrative office. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Accounting Clerk will handle a wide range of administrative duties, including entering daily production, processing invoices, submitting payroll files to corporate payroll, and assisting with various office tasks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Enter daily production activity and rice receipts from suppliers in SAP
- Verify all warehouse shipments and submit to corporate
- Perform inventory research and adjustments as needed
- Assist with reconciliation of cycle counts and enter resulting adjustments
- Create Purchase Orders for various vendors
- Process all invoices by posting good receipts and submitting to corporate accounts payable for timely payments
- Handle all vendor and accounts payable inquiries
- Receive cash sales and submit to corporate accounting
- Organize and maintain files, records, and documentation both in physical and electronic formats
- Assist in mock recalls and trace exercises for audits
- Support end of month process for closing work orders and providing expenses for accrual entries
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner
- Coordinate office activities, including meetings, luncheons, and events, ensuring everything runs smoothly
- Order office supplies and manage inventory to ensure adequate stock levels
- Review and sign off on hourly time cards and submit in a timely manner a bi-weekly file to corporate payroll for processing
- Assist with onboarding new employees, including issuing time card, ordering uniforms, and supplying miscellaneous forms as needed
- Manage security access program and issue security cards to employees
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Key Skills Needed
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with office equipment like printers and scanners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling administrative tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Required - high school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Preferred - A minimum of 1 years’ hands-on office environment accounting experience
This is a full-time position reporting to the Accounting Manager. The Accounting Clerk will report to an office Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work outside of the normal schedule may be occasionally required to meet time sensitive deadlines as job duties demand. The position will be filled with someone working out of our Brinkley location.
